How to tune your guitar to 528 Hz
- Tap Start listening and allow microphone access.
- Pluck one string at a time, starting with the lowest E string.
- Tighten a flat string or loosen a sharp string.
- Stop when the meter is green and centered for each string.
528 Hz target frequencies
The string targets, low to high, are E2 83.15, A2 111.00, D3 148.17, G3 197.78, B3 249.18, and E4 332.62 Hz.
This keeps standard tuning intervals while setting C5 to exactly 528 Hz. In equal temperament, that makes A4 approximately 443.993 Hz—normally shown as 444 Hz on a chromatic tuner. C5 occurs at the 8th fret of the high E string and the 13th fret of the B string.
